Because He Got Up!

Luke 18:31-33

Jesus took the Twelve aside and told them, "We are going up to Jerusalem, and everything that is written by the prophets about the Son of Man will be fulfilled. He will be handed over to the Gentiles. They will mock him, insult him, spit on him, flog him and kill him. On the third day he will rise again."(NIV)

Because Jesus got up we can too!

I Am Healed

Isaiah 53:5

But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.

Because of what Jesus did on the cross we are healed.
what are you healed of: physically, emotionally, spiritually, hope, relationships, self-esteem, and finances, etc...Change your glasses and put on your spiritual lens.

Romans 4:17 says: As it is written: "I have made you a father of many nations."He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed—the God who gives life to the dead and calls things that are not as though they were."

Speak the things that are not as though they were to get the proper result!

Healing in something that belongs to YOU!

Our Mountain Moments

Matthew 17: 14-20

"At the foot of the mountain, a large crowd was waiting for them. A man came and knelt before Jesus and said, “Lord, have mercy on my son. He has seizures and suffers terribly. He often falls into the fire or into the water. So I brought him to your disciples, but they couldn’t heal him.”
Jesus said, “You faithless and corrupt people! How long must I be with you? How long must I put up with you? Bring the boy here to me.” Then Jesus rebuked the demon in the boy, and it left him. From that moment the boy was well.
Afterward the disciples asked Jesus privately, “Why couldn’t we cast out that demon?”
“You don’t have enough faith,” Jesus told them. “I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible."

Learning how to identify our mountain and how to speak to them.

How do we speak to our mountains?
(Mountains- Figures for an obstacle)
1. Confess our sin, dilemmas, and problems (Proverbs 28:13).
2. Having belief in what you are saying.
3. Feed yourself the Word of God (Romans 10:17).
4. Being at church (Hebrews 10:25).

Are You Afraid of Victory Series

Romans 8:37 & Proverbs 4:7

Romans 8:37:"No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us." (NLT)

Proverbs 4:7:"Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding." (KJV)

Learning how to live in overwhelming victory.

How do we get overwhelming victory?

1. Change your mindset/attitude (Philippians 2:5 & Hebrews 4:15).
2. Do your part (James 2:17)
3. Have faith.
4. Write it down/stay focused.
5. Be mentored (Hebrews 10:25).

1 Corinthians 15:57:"But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." (NIV)

1 John 5:4:"for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith." (NIV)

Exercise for Victory!!

Phillipians 2:12

"Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling" (NIV)

Obtain victory by exercising your salvation! You can do this by:
1. Being obedient and diligent, live by the Word of God.
2. Push yourself- It's easier to give up, so when you feel like quitting take the extra step and PUSH yourself!
3. Giving- Giving your money, talents, and time! Our job is to give and when we do, God will bless us! (Luke 6:38)
